The Naniwa Chosera 400 Grit stone is the final polishing stone of the Chosera series, which brings out a smooth slicing edge with a liquid mercury mirror finish that grants entry into the realm of hair whittling and air-popping sharpness. This 1" x 4" stone, mounted on an aluminum blank with a total thickness of 5-6mm, is best used with water and is ideal for maintaining an edge after higher medium grit and lower polishing grit sharpening stones (3K, 4K, 5K, 6K, 8K grit).

The smoothly polished mirror cutting edge transforms your knife or tool into a superior instrument. This stone is recommended for use before progressing to further polishing stones and strops (12K+, 1 micron - 0.025 micron strops), making it a final stone for achieving full mirror-polished sharpness on many knives and tools, including those made with abrasion-resistant steels.
