Custom 1x4 inch Stone, 5000 grit, for KME Knife Sharpeners, 4mm Thick

The Chosera stones are among the finest synthetic waterstones available, providing an excellent, smooth feel while working and delivering a fantastic edge and polish. These stones are factory-made to size, then hand-flattened to at least 4mm thick. Due to popular request, for additional stability and durability, they are now mounted on an aluminum backing.

The full line of Chosera stones, ranging from 400 to 10,000 grits, are available in a 1x4 inch size. The Coarse grit Choseras (#400, #600, and #800) are best for re-profiling, initial sharpening, and general maintenance and repairs, including removing chips. The #800 Chosera leaves a toothy "working edge" and quickly cleans up and removes the deep scratches left by the Diamond Hones.

The Medium grit Choseras (1K, 2K, and 3K) quickly produce excellent edges. The green #1000 grit is a real workhorse, handling light repairs and chip removal, and leaving a nice working edge. It is a great follow-on to the fine KME diamond hone for its quick work in removing the deep scratches left by the diamonds. The 2000 grit will follow the KME ceramic hones nicely and is a great transition step between the 1000 and 3000 Chosera hones.

The Fine grit Choseras (5K and 10K) polish and finish your edges, producing a beautiful shine and ultra-smooth edge. It's important to note that Chosera stones are used with water only.

These stones are a great addition to the abilities of the KME Sharpening system, offering a range of grits to suit various sharpening needs, from initial profiling to final polishing and edge refinement.
